Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:30-4:30 pm, Friday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Where: San Rafael and Santa Rosa offices.
Details: Help CCNB corpsmembers with reading, writing, math and English language skills. The contribution of your time and experience will make a huge difference in the lives of these hard-working, motivated young adults. As an academic mentor, you can help individuals to acquire communication skills necessary for success in the workplace and/or to achieve the goal of graduating from high school.
Your mission (should you choose to accept):
- Give classroom instruction in topics necessary to achieve a high school diploma.
- Teach basic and intermediate English language skills.
Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 and older. Expect to work with a diverse population of adult students. You should have or desire significant classroom experience. As educators, communication skills and patience are highly desirable.
