Details: Serve as an ambassador to the Marin and Sonoma communities for Conservation Corps North Bay. The volunteer will provide accurate, positive information about the organization in a variety of venues. Outreach opportunities include tabling at local community events, universities, and job fairs. The representative serves as an asset to the Human Resources Manager and Development Department and will aid in building Conservation Corps North Bay's overall public relations campaign.

Your mission (should you choose to accept):

  • Represent Conservation Corps North Bay by tabling and speaking at community events, universities, and job fairs.
  • Reach out to diverse populations.
  • Obtain contact information to build a database of interest for various Conservation Corps North Bay programs, such as Project ReGen, volunteer opportunities, and donation opportunities.

Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Expect to work extensively with the public in diverse populations of Marin and Sonoma County. You should be eloquent, enthusiastic about Conservation Corps North Bay's mission, and well informed about the organization and its many facets.

  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • The ability to comfortably engage passersbys.
  • The ability and desire to learn about all of CCNB's programs and to articulate this information to others.
  • Some daytime availability.
  • Courteous, friendly manner.

Significant training will be provided to Community Outreach Representatives.
